Coach Morse has combined a lifetime in sports with a passionate desire to help people improve their lives beyond what they believe to be possible. Coaching the mind. Training the body. Unleashing the spirt. That is the heart and soul of the Crucible Culture that has ignited a fire within the community to Cherish the Challenge!

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

I created a personal fitness business built on my “Challenge The Challenge” program, training athletes how to go beyond what they believe to be possible. In just a few short years, Crucible Performance has grown into a powerful force that is changing lives.

Name one award you are most proud to have received.

Recognition by Frederick News Post as “Best of the Best for Best Gym” in both 2017 and 2019 were both proud and humbling moments. It is a testament to our athletes and their families that they appreciate and embody the Crucible Culture deeply enough to share it with others.

What is your experience with volunteering and civic engagement?

I served on the Board of Directors for East Frederick Little League for Coaching Development and Player Development.

I have also provided leadership & motivation speaking engagements for Frederick Rotary Club, FCC Moving Mountains Series, Frederick County Public Schools, Mental Health Association, and FCA Power Camp. I serve as a high school youth leader at a local church.

What was your first job?

I worked as a Summer Baseball Camp Instructor/Counsellor at Yellow Springs Elementary School.

Who is your greatest influence?

My dad has been my best friend for my entire life. He showed me what hard work was all about, and he still encourages, pushes, coaches, and mentors me each and every day.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success and why?

I believe in a relentless pursuit of incredible challenges every day. Challenges that lead to greater service. Challenges that lead to greater impact. #CherishTheChallenge
