Matthew Louden, 30
Warner Construction
1530 Tilco Drive Suite A, Frederick

Matt joined Warner Construction in 2018 as a Project Executive, responsible for process improvement on all projects and ensuring achievement of cost and revenue objectives throughout all levels.  Prior to joining Warner Construction Matt gained experience as a commercial construction superintendent working high profile projects for one of the top general contractors in the U.S. Before joining Warner Construction, Matt worked for one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, where he was successful in both homebuilding operations and sales. Matt was promoted to his current role as President of Warner Construction in January 2020. Matt has degrees from Virginia Tech (B.S., 2006) and The American University (MBA, 2011).

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

The way the entire Warner Construction team handled the last 18 months.  They successfully navigated a multitude of new challenges. I couldn’t be prouder of what the team accomplished in the last year. We came out stronger, more efficient, and busier than ever.

Name one award you are most proud to have received.

Not an award, but I’m most proud of receiving my MBA. It was a goal I set for myself and was determined to achieve it. I was working 50-60 hours a week and going to school in the evenings. It showed me if you want something bad enough; anything is possible

What is your experience with volunteering and civic engagement?

Although I'm not currently involved in civic leadership one of my goals is to become more involved in programs and organizations outside of Warner Construction.

I’m proud to work for a company that contributes so much to local non-profits and charities. Frederick is our home and I love being part of a company that provides so much good. I hope to help continue that tradition.

What was your first job?

Sales Associate at the GAP

What do you like to do for fun in Frederick County?

Most of my free time is spent being with my wife, Jill; and two daughters Claire (6) and Avery (3) and I wouldn't have it any other way! When I do have additional time, I love playing golf at all the great courses Frederick County has to offer.

Who is your greatest influence?

My dad has been my biggest professional influence. He recently retired after a distinguished 42-year career at NVR, Inc. His approach to employee development, problem solving, and strategic thinking is something I continually use in my own career. I’m blessed with the opportunity to still be able to go to him to talk through problems or get his opinion on current situations I’m dealing with in my career.
