Jake graduated early from the University of Maryland with a BS in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics in 2017 and stepped up to help his family run Smoketown Brewing "temporarily." After a short time, it was apparent that he loved being a part of the family business and believed in the dream that his father started with Smoketown. He has been Director of Operations for over 4 years where he is in charge of HR, taxes, sales, distribution, social media/marketing, and the taproom for both breweries. He has helped grow the business from a single location in their hometown to two separate locations with beer that can be found across the state and in Virginia.
