Solash Aviles-Montanez is OED's New Senior Business Development Manager

Frederick County Office of Economic Development (OED) announces that Solash Aviles-Montanez has joined the team as a Senior Business Development Manager.  In this role, Solash will develop and execute business retention and expansion programs to support local life science and technology companies.

Solash earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico.  While in college, she supported research development where she became more interested in the life science industries and how this industry improves the quality of life for the public.  After college, Solash moved to Maryland where she worked as a Quality Control Analyst at Sanofi Pasteur Biologics.  In addition, she worked at Emergent Biosolutions and most recently at Lonza’s Walkersville facility where she gained experience in quality control and compliance issues.   Her passion for the industry as well as a desire to serve the Frederick community brought Solash to OED.

Fun facts about Solash:

  1. She moved to Frederick County about two years ago, because fell in love with the downtown vibe.
  2. Solash is a foodie!  She has a list of every Frederick County restaurant with a goal of eating at each one.
  3. She enjoys CrossFit, Volleyball and dancing in her free time.
