The Frederick County Office of Economic Development (FCOED) held its 23rd annual Business Appreciation Week (BAW) October 16-20, 2023. Throughout the week, FCOED members and teams of ambassadors (made up of economic development and community partners) visited around 50 businesses across Frederick County. These visits provide meaningful conversations, networking opportunities and access to resources and services, while recognizing and showing appreciation for the local business community.
The week kicked off with a proclamation from County Executive Fitzwater, declaring Business Appreciation Week in Frederick County. The support of elected officials is part of what continues to make BAW a successful event year after year.
An exciting addition to the BAW 2023 was a partnership with the Flying Cows, Frederick’s new professional basketball team. Each business visited received two tickets to attend an upcoming game and see the Flying Cows in action. (A huge thank you to the Flying Cows for being a Business Appreciation Week Sponsor!)
You can find all of the photos from this year’s BAW visits here.
And of course a giant thank you goes out to our BAW businesses. It was another incredible year of visits, tours and conversations, and we are continually grateful that you choose to do business in Frederick County, Maryland.
