OED is excited to welcome Amanda Lee to the team as our Business Development Analyst. In this role, Amanda will support the data and research needs of OED and our business development team, and lead projects such as development of our Top 50 Magazine and Annual Report. Amanda will also support marketing and social media initiatives.
Amanda’s experience in data analysis began in high school when she won a competition to spend a summer aboard a NOAA vessel. In this experience, she learned about bathymetry data used to map the Gulf of Mexico. She was later certified as a computer operator in the United States Air Force, where she learned UNIX programming and served as a GCCS and TBMCS operator. In the private sector, she worked at Dan Ryan Builders as a Business Support Specialist assisting with software implementation and at Dynamic Rugs where she was the Director of eCommerce and Marketing.
Amanda received her AA in Business Administration from FCC and her BS in Business Management from UMUC. She was a student of the University of Maryland’s Real Estate Development Program, where she also completed coursework in urban planning and learned about agricultural preservation.
Amanda has been a Frederick County resident for 13 years. She lives here with her daughter, Ella, and their cat, Jasmine.
