MASAI Technologies Corporation (MTC) is a minority-owned IT and business consulting company based in downtown Frederick. The company was founded in Oak Park, Michigan, located just outside of Detroit, in 1997 and moved to Frederick Maryland in 2004. The company has an annual revenue of $750,000 and employs 10 people.

MTC specializes in enterprise management systems, cybersecurity, process improvement, and project management consulting services. MTC services Federal, State, Local, and commercial clients, and is a certified SBA, HubZone and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) with both federal and private-sector clients.

The founder of MTC, Masai Troutman, was born in Detroit where he attended Cass Technical High School and was a three sport athlete in track, basketball, and football. Upon graduation he attended Kentucky State University (KSU) on an athletic scholarship. He is also a member of The KSU Sports Athletic Hall of Fame for Track and Field. He went on to obtain his Master’s Degree in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University of Cleveland Ohio. 

Masai also leads a non-profit organization in Frederick called P.R.I.D.E., a youth tutor-mentoring group for underprivileged boys at North Frederick Elementary School. He continues to be active in the local community through his non-profit organization and youth basketball, and strives to have his company be an example of how to give back to the community.
