MATAN Companies is making space for future Life Science businesses in Frederick County

MATAN Companies is making space for future Life Science businesses in Frederick County.  The team from the Frederick County Office of Economic Development had the opportunity to tour MATAN’s recent project - Progress Labs at Riverside I, developed with the needs of the biotech industry in mind.  The project consists of an existing building with over 90,000 SF and a new expansion building designed for biomanufacturing, with over 118,000 SF including mezzanine space.  “We saw a need for suitable space in the Life Sciences industry, with flexible space that can accommodate a wide range of bio users,” shared Matan Director of Development Karl Morris.

“Frederick County is increasingly recognized as an ideal location for life sciences companies to locate.   Demand for suitable space has grown tremendously in the past 2+ years while project timelines have shortened,” shared Office of Economic Development Director of Business Attraction and Marketing, Beth Woodring.  “Prospective firms need ready space in locations that are close to workforce, key partners and resources.  With its targeted investment in Progress Labs, MATAN fills a critical need and significantly enhances Frederick County’s competitiveness to attract companies on a global scale by providing the ready space that is so highly in demand”.

Progress Labs at Riverside has space that is available today, and will deliver its brand new state-of-the-art building in the summer of 2022.  MATAN’s Progress Labs is committed to deliver space for the Life Science industry in Frederick, with several projects around the County, including Center 85, Riverside I and Riverside II.  For more information about these developments, please visit https://progresslabs.com/.
