According to the latest County Profile, Frederick County’s unemployment has dropped and jobs have grown by 1.9% over last year. Economic output is up 2.7% and median home prices have grown 4.6%. Compared to other mid-sized county economies, Frederick County ranks better in each of those categories.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) analyzes America’s 3,069 counties by comparing them to similar size economies using Woods & Poole Economics Inc data and Census data to determine how counties perform.
The overall gross domestic product (GDP) for Frederick County has remained steady at $11 billion.
