Jodie Bollinger - A Champion of Maryland Manufacturers

Over the past 21 years, Jodie Bollinger has been instrumental in attracting, retaining and expanding businesses in Frederick County. With a focus on the manufacturing industry, Jodie was recently recognized by Regional Maryland Institute (RMI) as one of Maryland’s Manufacturing Champions, noting her length of service, leadership and role in providing resources, time and talent to help enrich her community and improve lives in Frederick.

In her role of Business Development Specialist with OED, Jodie has worked closely with companies across all industry sectors to enhance the economic vitality of Frederick County. Recent noteworthy projects include RoosterBio’s recent expansion into the Offices at Westview; Emmes Corporation’s recent decision to expand from their Rockville location into a 2nd location, and 100 new jobs, in Frederick; Carey International and their 50,000sf expansion at Frederick Corporate Park; Miscellaneous Metals expansion, 100,000sf in Walkersville, and US Pharmacopeia’s expansion, 63,000sf and 100 new jobs in their facility off English Muffin Way.

According to Jodie, “I have had the pleasure and honor to get to know Frederick’s dynamic business community over the past 21 years.  Each and every day is different and I am fortunate to have a job in which I can learn from our business community and provide resources/programs to assist in their growth.”

In addition to business retention and expansion projects, Jodie has led many OED initiatives including the Frederick County Manufacturers Roundtable, a group to strengthen and connect the manufacturing industry; REALShare – which brings together Frederick’s commercial real estate community; and the bi-annual Frederick County Bus Tour, highlighting Frederick’s commercial real estate opportunities to regional brokers and site selection consultants.

She is a member of, and partners with, the Regional Manufacturing Institute, Maryland World Class Consortia, Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Maryland Economic Development Association, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
