Family Festival @ the Farm – Self-Guided Farm Tour Set for October 21st and 22nd

The 2017 Family Festival @ the Farm will be held Saturday October 21st and Sunday October 22ndat 18 farms around Frederick County.  This free event, hosted by the Frederick County Office of Economic Development, is open to the public and provides the Frederick community and families from across the region an opportunity to learn about the county’s diverse agriculture industry. 

The Family Festival@ the Farm provides hands-on activities at farms in the county for families and visitors of all ages.  The public will have an opportunity to visit the 18 participating farms on a self-guided tour with activities like picking pumpkins, petting an alpaca, sampling award winning wines, mead, and ciders, enjoying hayrides around the farm, taking beautiful photos of the fall landscape and enjoying all the different amenities on the farm.

The 18 farms included in this weekend event are: Brookfield Pumpkins, Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, Catoctin Mountain Orchard, Gaver Tree Farm, Glade-Link Farms, LLC, Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch, Linganore Winecellars, Mayne’s Tree Farm, Orchid Cellars Meadery & Winery, Rocky Point Creamery, Scenic View Orchards, Summers Farm, Sycamore Spring Farm, Thanksgiving Farms, Willow Oaks Craft Cider and Whispering Meadows Alpaca Breeders.
