The Frederick County Office of Economic Development would like to invite the general public to participate in the 2016 Family Festival at the Farm. This weekend event scheduled for October 15, 2016 and October 16, 2016, provides an opportunity to learn about Frederick County’s diverse agriculture industry.
The Family Festival at the Farm will provide hands-on activities for families that would like to spend a day of fun on the farm and the opportunity to visit 18 participating farms. There will be a host of activities that people of all ages will be able to experience during this fun-filled weekend. Visitors will have an opportunity to pick pumpkins out of the field, pet an alpaca, take hayrides around the farm, take beautiful photos of the Fall landscape and much more.
The 18 farms included in this weekend event are: Brookfield Pumpkins, Catoctin Mountain Orchard, Gaver Tree Farm, Glade-Link Farms, LLC, Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch, Mayne’s Tree Farm, Nick’s Organic Farm, Oakie Doke Farm, Persistence Run Farm, Rights of Man Farm, Rocky Point Creamery, Scenic View Orchards, South Mountain Creamery, Sycamore Spring Farm, Thanksgiving Farms, Twin Hills Farm and Whispering Meadows Alpaca Breeders.
