The Frederick County Office of Economic Development (OED) held their Annual Business Reception at McClintock Distilling on November 28, 2018 with over 200 guests in attendance. The event recognizes the strong partnerships and businesses that OED works with throughout the year and celebrates successes in economic development efforts.
“What do you call a year that’s bigger than big? That’s grander than great? We’re calling 2018 a monster year for economic development,” said OED’s Director Helen Propheter.
Frederick County Executive Jan H. Gardner gave opening remarks highlighting the County’s achievements in boosting the local economy this year such as increasing the number of jobs, business growth and a record low commercial vacancy rate.
Going along with this year’s theme, “It was a Monster Year,” OED debuted a video during the event that recapped economic development highlights from 2018. Click here to view the “It was a Monster Year” video.
