2019 OED Annual Report Now Available

The Frederick County Office of Economic Development (OED) has released their 2019 Annual Report as part of Frederick’s Top 50, a publication produced in partnership with Frederick Magazine that showcases Frederick County’s Top 50 Best Workplaces.

“Our community has a good vibe feeling right now, and our businesses helped create this vibe,” said OED’s Executive Director Helen Propheter.  This year’s annual report recaps economic highlights of 2019 and provides a look at what to expect for 2020.

The report also includes data by the numbers that reflects Frederick County’s thriving economy, such as an $11B GDP, more than $176 million of commercial and industrial construction, and adding 6,397 new jobs over the past five years. “OED has many reasons to celebrate 2019. Our economy is thriving and business activity has never been better,” added Propheter.
