Looking to check out the best in Frederick County Agriculture? Then you don’t want to miss out on the 2019 Great Frederick Fair. From 600 pound pumpkins, to prize winning livestock, food, education and fun the fair has it all.
Frederick County’s craft beverage and farm-to-glass movement is booming, attracting visitors and making local consumers happy. To build on that momentum, we are happy to partner with Visit Frederick and Frederick Magazine to create the Homegrown Frederick Wineries, Breweries & Distilleries Showcase at The Great Frederick Fair, September 13 – 21. Located in Building 13, the showcase brings together the best in Frederick County craft beverage products to taste and purchase.
“This is an exciting initiative that blends the traditional agriculture with our emerging industry of adult beverages. This industry allows our farmers to diversify their products and offer farm to consumer sales and we are happy to be able to showcase several of our Frederick County businesses this year” says, Karen Crum, Executive Assistant of The Great Frederick Fair.
Vendors include, Smoketown Brewing Station, Linganore Winecellars, McClintock Distilling, Flying Dog Brewery, Tenth Ward Distilling Co., Steinhardt Brewing, Orchid Cellar Meadery and Winery, Dragon Distillery, American Shochu Company, Brewers Alley, and Milkhouse Brewery.
The fair kicks off on Friday September 13th with the honoring of the 2019 Farm Family of the Year, Ag Business of the Year, Ag Advocate of the Year, and the Young Farmer of the Year. We are also pleased to present the 2019 Frederick County Agriculture Education Grant Recipients.
Throughout the fair you will have the opportunity to learn about Frederick County Agriculture and our rich history.
