2017 Business Appreciation Week – Save the Date!

The 2017 Business Appreciation Week (BAW) is on the books for October 23-27, and the Office of Economic Development (OED) is gearing up for a successful event.

Hearing directly from businesses is what helps Frederick County continually improve services to strengthen our business climate. Key to doing just that is our annual BAW.  In our 17th year – the longest running Business Appreciation Week in the State - the week provides the opportunity to hear directly from business owners about what is working for them and where improvements can be made.

Representatives from OED, elected officials and other state, county, city, and local leaders form small teams that travel across the county to visit over 100 companies, to learn about each business and to personally thank the employers for their contributions to the local economy.

More information will be available soon, along with the opportunity to register to be one of the businesses we visit.  If you’d like to ensure that you don’t miss this invitation, please take a minute to text 2017BAW to 22828.  You’ll be one of the first to receive the official registration.

See you in October!
