Steps to Ensure Good Standing Status During COVID-19 State of Emergency

Many businesses applying for relief programs or loans will be required by their lender to be in Good Standing with the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT). The Department strongly encourages all business owners to confirm now whether or not their business is in Good Standing by looking it up on SDAT’s free online search, and follow the checklist linked below if it is not. Please visit dat.maryland.gov for more information.

Please Note: On March 12th, Governor Hogan issued and executive order, which requires that the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) to extend all expiration and renewal dates to the 30th day after the date by which the state of emergency is terminated. SDAT is automatically extending the Annual Report Filing and/or Personal Property Return filing date from April 15 to July 15th for all entities.
