With over 13 years’ experience working in the Banking & Financial Services and 8 years partnering with Small Business owners to develop and apply long term strategy for success, Kwadwo ‘Kojo’ focuses on all aspects of the business from start-up to succession planning. Amanpene is currently a Business Development Officer at Wells Fargo Bank and works with domain experts to provide solutions to the financial needs of businesses in the Frederick and neighboring counties. Health Care financing, Commercial Real Estate financing, Treasury Management Solutions and SBA loans are a few of the many offerings that he delivers to small businesses.
He is also a co-founder of an African Business Networking Group in Maryland that focuses on promoting products and services of African/African American business owners.
Amanpene is a Certified Scrum Master and has an MBA in International Business from the Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) in Paris, France.
Amanpene is an active member of the Frederick and Gaithersburg-Germantown Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs. Through these roles he has managed to expand his network and has succeeded in adding value to numerous businesses by providing expert advice and resources necessary for their growth. He is very passionate about assisting small business owners and has participated in numerous events in many capacities over the years.
As a professional who engages with entrepreneurs on a daily basis, Amanpene took this class to enhance business acumen and connect with other Frederick-based professionals and industry experts.
When speaking to diversity, Amanpene believes that it is about admitting and recognizing individual differences. Amanpene reflects, “[Diversity] is important because it allows me to empower people by respecting and appreciating what makes them different, in terms or age, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.”
