Main Street Frederick County
Frederick County is tied within the state of Maryland for the most Maryland Main Street communities. Downtown Frederick, Main Street Brunswick, Main Street Thurmont and Main Steet Middletown have obtained Main Street Maryland designations and the Town of New Market has been designated a Main Street Maryland Affiliate. Some of Mount Airy Main Street is also part of Frederick County and shared with Carroll County. The Maryland Main Street program is a comprehensive downtown revitalization program that strives to strengthen the economic potential of traditional main streets and neighborhoods.
