Whispering Meadows Alpaca Breeders was established in 1999 and currently maintains a herd of 30 alpacas. We think it’s important to provide an opportunity for the community to learn about these gentle creatures and to work hands-on with them. We started the first 4H alpaca club in Frederick County, our moto is... first in fiber, first in fun, first in Frederick.We produce our own hay and have animals on our farm year round, such as: alpacas, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, horses, and baby Texas long-horns.

Activities
Free Hay Rides, hay tower, petting zoo, spinning & alpaca demonstrations, fiber picking, 4H education, card making for soldiers, games, puppet shows and vendors. Small fee for drinks and food. Wood Carving demonstrations and Sales.

Products
A variety of alpaca products. From natural or dyed yarns, raw fiber, rovings, bears, hats, scarves, gloves, purses, sweaters, vests, a variety of socks, finger puppets, throws, and much more.

From Frederick: We are located East of Frederick just off Rte. 26. Unionville Rd is approximately 4 miles east of the intersection of Rt. 26 & Rt. 75 (Libertytown). Coming from the West Unionville Rd is approximately 4.5 miles from the intersection of Rt. 26 & Rt. 27 (Taylorsville)
