Sycamore Spring Farm is a local homestead striving to preserve and promote sustainable farming practices, heritage breed livestock, heirloom produce and lost traditions in food preparation and preservation.

Activities
Weekend educational Farm tours begin in April- Learn in amazement and wonder about the real lives of baby chicks, bunnies, lambs, kids & calves and their fascinating farm families. (Includes egg gathering, goat milking, animal feeding and hand washing with goat milk soap). Ongoing classes at the farm: Raising small animals for fun & food, Garden Magic w/manure & earth worms, Goats for milk, cheese & soap, Real Food & why it matters. 22 week CSA program May-November. Mostly Heirloom produce includes Asparagus, blueberries, cherries, and pears. Egg, poultry and beef shares available too. Special Farm tours, Fall Orchard Fruit stand, Goat Cart Rides & Souvenir Photographs. ($)

From Frederick: Take Rte. 340 West to the Mt. Zion Road exit. Make a Left onto Cap Stine Road at top of ramp. Turn Left at Elmer Derr Rd. The farm is 8/10 of a mile on right.
