South Mountain Creamery is Maryland’s 1st on the farm processing plant. We have been farming since 1981, and have been processing our own milk and delivering it to homes since 2001. We grow crops, feed and milk the cows, process the milk and deliver directly to hoes within a 50 mile radius of the farm. We want to invite everyone to come out and enjoy the country, enjoy the community and enjoy the farm.

Activities
Come see the cows being milked from 1:30pm – 5pm everyday, Help bottle feed the calves at approximately 4pm everyday, Interact with our calves, chickens, turkeys and kittens – all day everyday, Spring Open House – April 25th and 26th: Hay rides, help hand crank ice cream, straw mountain, scavenger hunt, Moo-to-you tours. Scavenger Hunt, Moo To you tours, Ice Cream and Butter Making, hay rides, Straw Mountain, Apple Cider making, Old Machine Displayed

We will be offering a CSA along with our Milk

Products
Glass bottled milk and other dairy products, Hand-served ice cream, Meats – beef, pork, chicken and lamb, Miscellaneous – bread, coffee, Orange Juice and more.

From Frederick: Take I 70 West to exit 49 (Middletown, Braddock Heights). Take a left off the exit on to Alt. Rte. 40. Follow Alt. Rte. 40 for about 8 miles, and then turn left on to Bolivar Road. Proceed to the stop sign, and then turn to the left. The Creamery and store are located on the left. Look for the milk trucks!
